Binary Sky Publishing
Binary Sky Publishing is the in-house publishing division of Binary Sky Records. It focuses on the songs and scores at the heart of our projects. The label looks after the recordings. The publishing side looks after the compositions themselves.
Publishing is about looking after the life of a song or score beyond the original release, and making sure writers are credited properly and paid fairly when music is used.
We also offer music commissions, which means original music written to a brief for weddings, podcasts, games, film and video, and other bespoke projects.

What Binary Sky Publishing does
In practical terms, Binary Sky Publishing exists to:
- Represent compositions from Binary Sky projects for licensing and sync
- Register works with the appropriate collection societies so royalties can be tracked and claimed
- Prepare and release sheet music where it makes sense for performers, educators, or fans
- Help make sure writers and composers are credited correctly and paid fairly when music is used
The aim is simple: if a piece of music leaves the studio and finds an audience, the admin should be as solid and organised as the music itself.
How publishing fits with the label
Binary Sky Publishing sits under the same umbrella as Binary Sky Records. One company, two connected roles.
Binary Sky Records focuses on recordings: release plans, artwork, mastering, distribution, campaigns, and physical formats.
Binary Sky Publishing focuses on compositions: registrations, royalty administration, licensing conversations, and long term catalogue care.
For artists and collaborators, this means one joined up home for both sides of the work, guided by the same creative vision.
For artists and writers
As Binary Sky grows, Binary Sky Publishing supports selected artists and writers connected to the wider Binary Sky world. That support may include:
- Guidance on registering works correctly with collection societies
- Administration of publishing shares for music released through the label
- Help preparing scores or lead sheets for live performance or education
- A clear point of contact for licensing and usage requests

Looking ahead
Binary Sky Publishing is growing alongside Binary Sky Records. The initial focus is on the core projects already under the Binary Sky umbrella, with the intention to expand opportunities for writers, collaborators, and catalogue development over time.
The long term goal is straightforward: build a catalogue of songs and scores that feel honest, emotional, and thoughtfully crafted, then support that catalogue so it can live many lives, on records, on stage, on screen, and in the hands of performers and listeners who connect with it.
